Additional Information

Some varieties still require the proper agreements and information needed to move toward being commercially available. For example, NVDMC may need to find out if budwood available for nurseries, if additional production information is available, if these varieties are grown outside of Florida, and if so, in what kind of climate?

Florida Foundation Seed Producers. Inc. is the entity licensing University of Florida-developed oranges and rootstocks. FFSP is a non-profit corporation and direct support organization of the UF. FFSP works closely with the Florida Agricultural Experiment Station.

Bureau of Citrus Budwood Registration administers a program to assist growers and nurserymen in producing trees that are believed to be horticulturally true to varietal type, productive, and free from certain recognizable bud-transmissible diseases detrimental to fruit production and tree longevity.
